New decorations wash ashore in Happy Island

Crowdstar has given us a nice weekend surprise, with a few new decorations to make our islands in Happy Island even more tropical. Three new surfboards and three new benches were released, giving us Happy Island players more to decorate with. These surfboards and benches are all available for coins, so if you're a hard working player who has been saving up your coins, you will have something new to buy with your hard earned cash. Here is the list of new decorations that hit the Happy Island shop this weekend.

Flaming Surfboard - 9,500 coins
Sunset Surfboard - 8.400 coins
Vintage Surfboard - 14,000 coins
Red Bench - 9.900 coins
Ruins Bench - 18,000 coins
Bench al Arab - 14,000 coins

There is no indication that these are limited time items, but you never know. If you have coins to burn, head on over to the Happy Island shop and check out the new selection of surfboards and benches.

Zoo Paradise celebrates the FIFA World Cup with soccer items

Zoo Paradise has just released a set of animals and a new habitat, all in the theme of the FIFA World Cup. The World Cup is the largest viewed sporting event in the entire world, and will be held in South Africa from June 11 - July 11, 2010. It is the largest soccer tournament, and is only held every four years. Likewise, the Zoo Paradise items will only be available until July 12th. The new items include three new soccer playing animals, a Soccer Field habitat, and 24 international flags to show off your favorite team's colors. Take a peek at the new items below:

Zoo Paradise is the first game we've seen that has released soccer items for the World Cup, but we suspect that it won't be the last. Unfortunately, to participate in this celebration you will have to pay Facebook Credits. which is likely to upset Zoo Paradise players who like to spend time rather than money to enjoy the game.

Happy Aquarium goes to the World Cup with tank backgrounds

It looks like Crowdstar is fully on board the FIFA World Cup train this year, as they first released soccer items in Zoo Paradise and now have released them in Happy Aquarium as well. Happy Aquarium now has 18 new tank backgrounds for your aquarium that you proudly display which country you are rooting for in the World Cup. Each of these backgrounds cost 36 Pearls or 30 Facebook Credits.

The World Cup is going to be running from June 11 through July 11th, so these limited time backgrounds will probably be gone shortly thereafter. We're sure there are more backgrounds to come, as there are 32 countries participating in the World Cup and only 18 are represented so far. It's also possible that the smaller countries will not be represented in Happy Aquarium.

CrowdStar's Top Girl gets fancy on Android (and friendly with Amazon)

Android-admiring ladies, your game has arrived. It Girl creator CrowdStar has released its mobile version, Top Girl, to Android devices. However, you can only get it for free on Amazon's Appstore for the next two weeks. This makes CrowdStar's hugely popular girly game one of the first mobile social games to hit Amazon's new Kindle Fire tablet, according to the company.

The Android release of Top Girl looks to be the same game available to iPhone and iPad gamers, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. In the game, players must amass new outfits and model them off for cash to climb the social ladder. Of course, ladies looking for love can find a virtual boyfriend that will lavish their characters with gifts. This is basically a Cosmo reader's dream in your Android phone or tablet.

Top Girl on Android also marks the beginning of CrowdStar's quest for 1 billion players through its Project Trident initiative. "CrowdStar is entirely focused on Project Trident this year and Top Girl's Android launch is representative of that," CrowdStar studio head Blair Hamilton said in a release. "Now our 'Girl' social gaming franchise is thriving on Facebook, iOS, and Android."

And "thriving" might be a fine way of describing the "Girl" franchise: It has reportedly been downloaded over 4 million times on the iOS App Store. Players are apparently paying up, too, as CrowdStar said that Top Girl toppled both Angry Birds and Zynga Poker as the top-grossing game for iOS when launched earlier this spring. And who said girls don't play games?
